Author Biography

  • Anna A. Slaczka

    Anna A. Slaczka studied Sanskrit and Asian art at the University of Leiden. In 2006 she graduated with her study of the consecration rituals in Hindu temples. Since 2009 she has been working as a curator of South Asian art in the Rijksmuseum, where among other things she is currently involved in research into the making and use of Chola bronzes (Southern India, 9th-12th century). Her other areas of research are early Shivaist Sanskrit texts and the iconography of Pala statues (North-east India, 9th-11th century).
