As part of a proactive policy of support for the publication of books in Breton by the Regional Council of Brittany, this article focuses on the support for the (re)translation into Breton of books from the "world literary heritage” and more specifically those written in French. As these (re)translations are not explained by the need to make these books accessible - the Breton readership being French-speaking -, it is therefore that they have other objectives to be placed in the broader context of the policy of promotion, dissemination and social extension of the Breton language.
