Philippe Noble is a literary translator. He is well known for the French translations of Etty Hillesum, Harry Mulisch and Cees Nooteboom’s works, among others. After pursuing an academic career, Philippe Noble committed himself to Foreign Affairs and cultural diplomacy. He is also in charge of the “Lettres néerlandaises” series at the Actes Sud publishing house. This interview focuses on his work as a cultural mediator between France and the Netherlands.
