Abstract

To the question ''how do francophone literatures translate the experience of a physical world under threat ?'', we propose to answer with a study of three poetics of camouflage by Jules Verne, Mohammed Dib and Dieudonné Niangouna. By associating exposure and concealment, camouflage puts territories to the test of depths, invites another reading of landscapes and releases the expressive potential of places. By blending into the surroundings, the camouflaged characters manifest a patient and vigilant presence of great ecopoetic efficiency.
