L'errance et la filature dans l'oeuvre de Jean Échenoz : une approche de la temporalité contemporaine

Abstract

Cet article prend comme point de départ la récurrence de deux mouvements spatiaux, l’errance et la filature, dans quatre romans de Jean Echenoz (Un an, Lac, Le Méridien de Greenwich, Je m’en vais). À partir d’une étude de ces deux mouvements, l’article se propose d’analyser la façon dont ceux-ci font émerger deux temporalités au sein de l’écriture d’Echenoz, permettant elles-mêmes de problématiser la notion de ‘temporalité contem­poraine’.

This paper aims to analyze the movements of wandering and spinning in four Jean Echenoz’s novels (Un An, Lac, Le Méridien de Greenwich, Je m’en vais). By focusing on characters’ travels, this research attempts to emphasize the link between wandering and spinning and show the connection between these movements and two distinct temporalities. Thanks to the study of these temporalities, the paper will problematize the notion of contemporary temporality and confers news ways to respond to temporal issues.
