Poetic mediations in times of confinement: some Belgian and French examples

Abstract

This article assesses the proposals from French speaking poetry contributors in Belgium and France in the age of confinement. It aims at underlining the pragmatic and documentary orientations of the poetical mediations, whilst questioning their novelty and their modalities. The processes, the adaptations and the functions are outlined considering the specific conditions where social life and economic activity are pending.

  • Charlène Clonts, Université de Kyushu

    Charlène Clonts is Associate Professor at Kyushu University (Japan). She has published articles on poetics, spaces and mediations in French language poetry of the 19th‑21st centuries. She is the author of books on Gherasim Luca. Texte, image, son (Peter Lang, 2020)  and Origami, le pli dans les littératures et les arts (Op. cit. journal, 2021).
